My vote for Gastons White River Resort.....nice runway, cabins and great fishing...Lots to do in the surrounding area...Or maybe Cedar Mills Resort on Lake Texoma... http://www.cedarmills.com/airfield.htm

The entire area is nice. Hot and humid though in the summer time. Ski's or fishing poles? Wonder if I can rig a livewell in one of the floats?

Maule Fly In

Post by Don Fitzpatrick »

I liked RobBurson's suggestion of Colorado. That high mountain grass strip looked like just what our Maules were made for. I would go there if at all possible. How do we arrange it? Are there facilities for us to eat at Hooper Hot Springs?

Lets keep talking about it until we get something arranged.

If in CO, it could be earlier by a week or two, than the BCP.JC. That leaves room for Arlington, OSH etc

The owner of Hooper has a place to camp. He was working on a group camp. I don't know if it is done. Hooper has food, shower, pool, restroom.

Mr. Carpenter who has the grass strip at 8600MSL might let us use it. A very good chance. Has a outhouse, BIG fire pit and that is it. He has a bunkhouse and cabin but I wouldn't figure it would be available, but you never know.

Mr. Carpenter's place is 20 minutes from Hooper.

Cheers...Rob
