Does anyone know of a Maule fly-in in the NW this year (2016)?
We haven't been to a Maule fly-in for a long time and would like to attend one in our area. Back country Idaho would be good.
We publish a list of fly-ins in our area for our local chapter of the WPA (Washington Pilots Association). We would be happy to send it to anyone who is interested in flying in the Northwest area.

Hoping flyusa99 will organize one. See his post under Pilot Lounge.

I'll be flying in the Frank Church Wilderness area from McCall ID 29-Aug through 31-August. Johnson Creek will be one of the airstrips that I'll visit and it would be a great place for another Maule fly-in.
Someone else would have to organize a fly-in though since I'll be focused on getting there from western NC in spite of weather and fires.

You willl like Johnson Creek. We had a Maule event there years ago.
If you get out here early try to come to the Republic Fly-in August 26-28. It's a fly in for all types, but well attended and lots of fun.

my annual 10 day at Johnson creek is scheduled for the end of June or beginning of July... I avoid the cubs 180's and BCP fly ins because of the overly large numbers but a maule fly in would be fun and not bring 200 aircraft into a narrow canyon .... i think if you get any more than 50 you would have to check with idaho div of aeronautics.. it's their turf....
