Christine and Andy,
Just letting you know these posts joggled my memory to get my contribution in. Thanks for all you and Andy do. This forum is a treasure of information, the likes of which should be cherished and fostered. While "thank you" cannot convey the deepest meaning of those words, please accept them on the behalf the members of this forum to the full extent of they are intended.

Happy holidays to all existing and future Maule pilots,
hope you all had wonderful Christmas days and will have a Happy New Year.
I just did some bookkeeping and checked my PayPal account I have been using for the maulepilots web hosting charges by IONOS and for your so much appreciated donations towards the expenses.
The web hosting charges are booked off monthly currently and I noticed the last month charge from IONOS on Dec 28th brought our balance down to 12cent.
I changed the payment method to my credit card and will call IONOS to see whether they have a less costly hosting option.

For the ones new to maulepilots.org:
I have started the MauleHangar talk approx 20years ago when we discussed on one of our Maule fly-ins to Minam Lodge that it would be nice to have an online
presence where we can exchange information, experiences and keep some record of the wealth of Maule information now retired (he probably doesn't want to hear that word, sorry Jeremy) Maule Guru Jeremy contributed over the years.
During the time Jeremy was selling airplanes full-time, he supported the forum by paying for the expenses the web hosting company charges and I together with volunteers over the years (Zane and Andy) volunteered our time.
When Jeremy semi retired, I started to cover the hosting expenses on my own for many years until we discussed the option of raising money so that we can keep our board free from membership fees. Ever since several nice members started to donate to help covering the expenses.

Thank you, Christine and Jeremy, for the founding and running of the site. It’s a great resource that has helped me learn so much more about flying and maintaining our beloved Maules.

Hey Christine: Have you and/or Andy considered putting a "contributor" label next to (or above/below) the participant's avatar like BCP does? It would add some subtle encouragement to participants to be one of the badged players rather than a remora. I give each year, but don't have a feel for how widely your participant base helps with support. If it is just the folks that submitted a note about contributing, you need better numbers! I hope you have a high percentage of contributing participants that just don't feel the need to mention that they made a contribution as the hat was passed.

I added "Supporting Member" rank with a star icon to everyone who said they made a contribution to Christine on this thread. That feature is built into phpBB without special coding. Look under the member's screen name on the right to see that rank.
