Hi Guys,

Is rear seat heat effective in an M-5-235. Thanks.

If you have an IO540 you can add another firewall valve and take heat from the left muffler just like the front heat on the right muffler.
If O540 then left muffler supplies carb heat, so you can take heat from the tailpipes by shrouding them or utilize the fresh air valve taking heat from a second 2inch outlet on the right side muffler shroud.
You can make deflectors to redirect the hot air towards the front seats.
I like rear heat better than front as it does'nt dry out the eyes so much.
The cabin is a low pressure area, and so is sucking outside air through any gap or cranny it can. Headliner needs to be sealed with insulation from the rear cone and from the wingroots, the gear fairing area and underfloor from the rear.
