On my last flight the leading edge wing root fairing decided to let go and slap around the top of the windshield. Looks like the rubber tore and pulled the rest away from the fairing when it got to flapping in the breeze.
I have a new piece of the rubber channel but am curious what you all would recommend for gluing it to the metal fairing? The original does not appear to have adhesive, is it just held on by pressure?
Thanks!

I’d just try rubber cement. Seems to be widely used on Maules anyways.

Re: Adhesive for wingroot fairing rubber channel?
I found it in my old stash of parts from my Piper PA-22/20 which means I probably originally bought it from Univair: U19657-000 but it is the 1-1/8" wide version that is currently on my fairing.Gary Raser wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 5:11 pmI don’t have an answer for you. Only catch is they sell it in 2' sections and it looks to be about 0.5" too short but if I center it I bet 0.25" short on either end won't make a difference. Otherwise might need to see if you can get a little extra or perhaps get it straight from the Maule factory for the exact length. Hope this helps.
EDIT: Just saw this as well: K-15 and Spruce.
