Whelen A490 power supply

Post by Maule_Norway »

Hi,

We have Whelen A490-T-DF-14/28 power supply for our strobes.

Will Whelen A490ATS-DF-14/28 work as a replacement?

What is the difference?

Aircraft is Maule MX-7-180.

I don’t know the answer to your question, but I removed a Whelen system from my M6-235 universal wing to install uavionox adsb in & out units. I have two power supplies (A490TCF), position lights/strobes all in very good working condition. See the pics for info. I’d be happy to sell them for a fair offer. One bonus photo of Norway, i was about 2 hrs outside of Alesund fishing. Your country is beautiful.

Here's a chart that shows the main differences: https://flywat.com/pages/strobe-power-s ... ment-guide. I can't tell for sure if the mounting and size are the same, but I think so. My 1986 MX-7-180 parts DVD has the Hoskins 701295-3A(14v) power supply. Let me know if you want drawing 7045F-Rev. B.
