What’s the best product to replace the original foam weather stripping
around the doors and swing out window?
Mines totally disintegrated to dust.

Most of us have had good luck with weatherstripping rolls from the hardware store. Look for EPDM material, it is very durable. I ended up using 3 different sizes or shapes to do all areas of the doors. Depends upon the size of the gap.

Here’s a link to the one that worked for my largest gaps: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Frost-King-17- ... k/50235609

Dave, I tried the hardware store (Home Depot) and their selection was horrible. Couldn’t find what would work. Finally gave up and called Kasey at Maule and she sent the OEM stuff that I knew would work. $120 for the whole airplane and included the above door rubber seals and swing out windows. Maybe more with inflation and all but was worth it.

Thanks for the help, Drak & Kirk.
I like the idea of getting the whole kit. Did you find that the thickness of the Maule seals was adequate to keep out the cold air
and wind noise? Alternatively I wouldn’t want them too thick to make it difficult for the doors to latch.

You could ask Maule which Walmart or hardware store they buy theirs from

Dave,

The foam I got from Maule was perfect. I have one door that is a bit warped and required a double layer in the problem area. No issues with the latches.

I too got the foam from Maule and seems to have worked great. Did all my doors and windows.
