Alaskan Bushwheel 199-62A, 6 Bolt Double Puck Brakes

Post by Tomkatz »

Does anyone know if the ABI 199-62A 6 bolt double puck brakes are on the original equipment list for a Maule MX7 180B? Or, have a copy of a 337 for the same?

Thanks,
Tom K.

Look up the TCDS - if they aren't on it I think it's arguable that a simple 337 from your IA would suffice seeing as the 3 bolt is PMA'd and the only difference is 3 more bolts.

Thank you TJ.

I spoke with Bruce at Maule and the 3 bolt (199-62) is on the list, but not the 6 bolt (199-62A) . I spoke with Gabe at Airframes Alaska and they do not have the STC for a Maule.

Now I would like to find a copy of a 337 for the 199-62A on a Maule MX7.

I will put out a request on this site and hopefully go looking for a copy.

Thanks again and take care,
Tom K

Talk to your IA, should be a minor alteration.

Any landing gear mod is a major, field approval or STC, not a minor
