I have a quesion for the forum, when removing the vacuum pump from an IO 540 W1A5, how much do you remove? Just the vacuum pump and then slap on a gasket and the block off plate? or, do you remove (#2) the Adapter Assembly, (#5) the Gear Assembly, and (#6) the Thrust Button ? (see attached exploded view)

Typically just remove the pump, install cover plate with gasket and call it good.

That's what we do. Just pump off, plate on.

Ok, Thank you. It just seems like leaving thoes other parts in there might be a bad idea. But if that is all I need to do, works for me.
