B-Pillar trim

Post by Mog »

I need to clean up my neglected right side B-pillar. The front and back trim pieces fell off awhile ago. I’m going to reattach all the vinyl trim to the metal pieces with contact cement like factory, but how is the whole trim piece attached to the pillar? It looks like it had some kind of caulking. Or did they somehow use contact cement from the factory. Really would like an alternate trim out method for this but at minimum getting it back to factory would be nice.

Mine has vinyl fabric glued to the inside, and wrapped around the front and back sides enough to secure it with glue (1300L). It then has stainless steel plates screwed to the front and back sides. These plates are edged with a black U-shaped trim. I’d post pictures, but the plane is apart right now.
