Seat installation/shop manual

Post by drak130 »

So just spent an hour reinstalling the front right seat of my new to me 1998 M7-235. I gotta think that I am working way too hard on this and their has to be a better way/a sequence that works. Any ideas? Which also begs the question of whether or not a “shop manualâ€￾ exists for our airplanes as a guide. Lord knows I could use one and a good A&P with Maule experience is hard to find so I guess for now I am stuck with a good A&P.

Dump the return springs and they go in and out as fast as you can tighten or loosen a couple small bolts.

Try doing a search, as I have detailed the seat procedure a couple of times in the past.
Once the seat rear truss has been correctly aligned by twisting it with a bar so the bottom holes align with the bottom attach lugs, as Mog says it is easy and can be easy even with the 'pull forward' springs.
