I have MT7 with IO5 540. oil blows past rebreather tube when oil filled to spec level of 8 qts. does anyone have similar problem, if so what is recommended oil level to preven blow out. thanks.

I also have an IO-540. I run mine at six quarts for that very reason. Five is the minimum, so at five, I add a quart.

Same here. Uses hardly any that way.

Anything more than 7 qts goes directly to the belly. 6-7 qts is about right.
