Sorry for the double posts. Not sure why it’s doing that.

Masking off to spray the Bahama Blue. Some more massaging of the layout around the air filter.

Monday is spraying the silver and she’s almost done.

Now she’s just begging for a new interior.

She’s starting to look like a plane again. The last few weeks seem like the longest ones yet.

Man, that paint scheme and color combo really looks nice! Well done. Looking forward to seeing it all buttoned up.

Yes, well done!

It's going to be so pretty you won't want to take it off airport anytime soon. Your also going to worry until the first scratch appears :o

Shiny! Looks good, love the colors/scheme!
You have to make up your mind about growing up and becoming a pilot. You can't do both!

Yeah I didn’t feel as bad tied down outside before. Now it will feel so wrong. Waiting for the first scratch never takes long.

The progress continues. Paint is done except for the final touch ups and buffing it out. Hope to have it wrapped up this week after the annual is done.

A couple more items on the punch list after the annual and she will be ready to fly again. I’m looking forward to seeing her out in the sun for the first time.

Well I got to fly out to Wisconsin last week and pick up the plane. After a day of delay to close out some squawks I finally got to fly her again. Three trips around the pattern to get current TW with a little slow flight and fast cruise and she was ready to go. A quick adjustment on the pilot door latch to keep it from popping open and a slight adjustment on the rigging was all it needed. Topped her off and flew her home. So ends the recover and paint after hail project. Big thanks to Mat Klatt at Klatt Aero. He and his wife did a great job on the plane and working with me on small changes and improvements inside and out. I would use him again if I ever find myself in the same situation.

If I see that beautiful Maule parked outside in CT, I will be forced to call social services and report you for airplane abuse.
Please tell us you have secured hangar space.
