It seems like it would be nearly impossible to get a factory built Maule into amature built category . Has anybody used exhibition catigory? If so how do you like dealing with the rules?

I have spoken with several EAA and FAA reps on this - not impossible, but not easy. If one were to scratch build a fuselage it would be possible, or even scratch build a set of wings. You can't use factory wings AND factory fuselage to get to 51% on the build sheet.
