More rudder will have a benefit BUT a sleepy or non savvy pilot will have the greater capability of of a cross controlled stall, an area in which the Maule is fairly benign in its original state.

Quick one, the belly metal stringer since it is in inox steel, should the welder use 4130 or an inox filler rod?

Neither. I use standard 70s, works fine.

Thanks, getting closer to finish the welds, we just added to extra bits for the 5th seat and soon going for the metal stringers.
Then it's gonna be battery tray under the copilot seat, new seats supports and 5 point harness.

Not sure if you have ever flown with 5-point harnesses, but a retract reel 3-point is most comfortable. I realize 5-point is perhaps safer? Not trying to talk you out of it, but just saying to try one before you lock yourself in to the 5-point idea.

The idea is to replace the front seat with some sport car carbon fiber seats and they usually go with 5 a points harness. It's just an idea still to fully develop. I'm used to fly with 5 points harnesses, normally keep the harnesses on for takeoff and landing, then in cruise just the lower 3 points.

The 3rd left stringer from the top, which is also the longest one of all, to install it do I have to drill a hole in the frame underneath the passenger row window? From the diagram is not very clear, but to me it looks the only way, otherwise if i keep it outside it will change the shape once covered. I saw from a pic here that they didn't but to me it looks wrong (first pic)

The 3rd stringer front end is welded to the outside edge (butted up to) of the rear side of the 1009B frame. Our technical term for that is "Curved Holey Thing". There should be no drilling required for the stringer installation.

Is much longer so I either cut the stringer and weld it on both sides, or I drill an hole and have it passing through

Ahhh.. I get it now. You'll have to cut that stringer and shorten it. They sent you the stringer for the non-observation window.

Goog catch, it's at least 6 months I'm studying this plane and I've just realized I've got an observation window!

Just finished welding the metal stringer on the bottom.. I tell you installing these stringers will take forever!

Your battery is way the heck back there. Bet that is a reach to service!

Yeah have welded those 2 extra rods to support any possible future battery or batteries I might even think to install
