Have finally finished welding the stringers, just few other addons to weld then we can proceed to sandblast and prime.

Have looked into part manual and some pics online, but can't really make up my mind on:
- How is the headliner attached to the most forward position, have found in the part manual a couple of hooks to retain the first bow, but to my surprise these are not already present so I wonder how was it hold in place?
- The 5th seat is not really clear to me how is it held to the fuselage.
- For the skis installation, there are 2 plates to attach on the side to pull the metal cables. These plates are welded or attached with a screw? If so to which hole?

I'm trying to think to every possibility now, so I don't have to mess with the fuselage once it's already painted.

If you have an M5 the fifth seat is not normal and if fitted you will need to weld in window frames and seatbelt attaches.
Also weld in 3 point seatbelt attaches for #3 and 4 bench seat.
The headliner stops at the skylight if you are welding framework in. There are two sizes of skylight, the large one being best.
If no skylight it is held up by the speaker tray towards rear of V brace. This can be eliminated to save heads if you don't use your speaker anymore.
For skis, there is a tab with hole in it welded on lower fuselage aft of landing gear. front cables can go to a longer bolt in landing gear forward attach, or Maule welds a U shaped bracket to lower corners of engine mount.
Maule will have drawings for all this.
Decide what battery you will use and where it will be mounted, under right front seat near cg or in tailcone with less effective long cable run.
Right front seat is easy to access battery but you need to weld the L shaped spring loaded keeper on to right end of gear carry through tube.
If updating seats, the keepers that seat frame slides through are a different position so weld them to the carry through also.
Theres more I'm sure.

If your still looking for wings I have a set of m5 wings. Front spar is bent on at least one of them. Good for parts and rear spars

in regards to the andair fuel selector, on the maule drawing it calls for the model FS20-4F which is the female/female version. But onthe drawing I can clearly see the connector on the valve is clearly a male?
which is the correct model? for what I see on spruce I should get the model FS20X4M. any thought?

Freedom, We have prints for both Andair valves. We currently use the FS20X4M on all applications which is shown on 5681F. 5641F shows the male/female version.

can't make up my mind on drawing 3152E, what's the correct hose to order for the brakes?

from the spruce catalog, is it the
303-3
Tubing Size3/16
Hose ID1/8

or the
303-4
Tubing Size1/4
Hose ID3/16

what's the aluminium type and thickness used for the cockpit panels as per dw.6025B?
and what are the priming and painitng spec S-10?

we are now in the process of reinstalling all the stuff in.
now dealing with the extended baggage.. lot's of fun!

anyone here knows what aluminium grade and wall thikness is used for the cockpit panels and the fuselage side cowlings?

Pretty sure thats right. Was what they had in Stock at reeve airmotive.

amongst the million projects.. I am installing a rudder trim wheel allowing selection of left and right rudder.
Have already welded an extra rib into the rudder assembly allowing me to connect a trim cable also on the left side, now the question is where am I going to install this wheel?

not having the finished plane in front of me leaves me uncertain about ergonomics and space available.
I've thought about few options:
- underneath the cockpit with the wheel installed horizontally,
- underneatht the pitch trim wheel, but knocking against the flap lever
- underneath the pilot's seat
- somewhere on the floor

the wheel itself comes from the pitch trim of a piper 28.

Freedom, the Maule rudder trim system works well when adjusted correctly and is light weight compared to a complex wheel trim mechanism.
Unless of course you are re-aligning the vertical stabilizer.

weight wise the difference I think is almost negligible.

second picture would probably be ideal, but will force me to modify the flap lever too which might be a good thing anyway. first picture is the easiest solution.
