Landing Gear Options ? the Original Goodyear Bushwheel?

Post by Flybrian1950 »

Found an interesting document with a 24x24x6 Goodyear terrra tire; a tandem tire setup from the Portland Oregon area called Whittacker gear, and even hydraulic water ski's for your STOL pleasure. Who said they weren't forward thinkers back in the good ole days of the 1950's

I have seen some shaved racing slicks on 14 or 15" alloy wheels on a 540 experimental Super Cub. Maybe a shaved set of Goodyear 30x15x15 terra tires is not such a wild idea after all.
