Maule drivers in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Post by mauleminded »

Hi there. I am a Maule owner from Montana currently visiting some family in the DFW area. I will be in town until March 2nd. Just thought I would throw it out there, if anyone would be interested in getting together to do some hangar flying or wants to show off their plane.

My plane is a disassembled mess of an M4-220, and I am working on a complete rebuild. I am always eager to talk to other Maule owners, and look at other planes for inspiration.

Shoot me a PM if any of y'all Texans have some time this week or next.

I owned a 1996 Maule MX-7-180B N10284 from 2001 thru 2008 (I flew it ~450 hrs). Had not flown since 2008 unil last month (September 2020) when I purchased a 2004 Maule M-4-180V N799ZZ (I've flown it 14 hrs as of today). I have a total tailwheel time of ~546 hrs.

The wife and I flew to Bridgeport KXBP yesterday to visit a friend. When we were taxiing for takeoff there was a Maule MX-7-180A N1044F ahead of us. The driver said he is based at Hicks T67.

Same here! :D
I think we met in February at the gas pump at GLE, a few of us were headed up to the Red River to camp.
