Hi Adam,

Not many. Maybe 5 or 6 on this forum.

There are 25 on the UK register, but not all of these are based in the UK.
Below is a list of those I know of active on this forum:
Piperboy84 - Scotland (private strip)
Njacko - Scotland (private strip)
Worzel - Daventry (private strip)
Derekpye - North of Manchester (private strip)
Me - White Waltham
Adiru - White Waltham (same aircraft as me)

You will rarely see me at a licensed airfield, unless it is White Waltham where I'm based or Netherthorpe visiting relatives. I am however trying to work my way through Lockyears Farmstrip Guide (160+ and counting)

Where are you based?

Thanks David

A most detailed and comprehensive response! I am based just outside East Grinstead underneath the Gatwick zone. Just having a couple of bits of work completed on my machine before taking delivery. I will def bring her over to White Waltham at some point and you can avail me of your Maule knowledge.

Chis, be careful what you wish for!

Already planning a route to escape the endless succession of used hurricanes which our American cousins so kindly send over to Scotland at this time of year. Looks like it's only 5,151 Maule miles from my home airstrip to FAGM: :)

P.S. Please don't mention SA girls - if Mrs Jacko sees that she's even more likely to throw a spanner in the works...

P.P.S. Welcome to the fold Jayson. I'm a fair bit north of London, but please call anyway. My contact details are on the aerodrome website in my forum profile.

I am coming to London from the 27th for a couple of days.

Any nice little airstrips with character that a guy can visit and wonder around, have a bite and a beer?

We normally stay in North West London.

Just to say hello, I have bought into a syndicate with a MXT-7-180 in the south-east of England and am hoping to learn useful stuff on here as well as from my fellow syndicate members. I have already made contact with a couple of Scotland based Maule owners although, unlike our American cousins, I think of 250 miles as a long way.

On British roads, 250 miles IS a long way. The Maule however makes that like a trip across the county. :D
