Hi Joshua,

You will need a photo editing software. Photoshop, Fireworks or most others. Once you have your editing software go to the file menu and select export (you may also try 'Save As') and make your selections of size, and file type. Preferably, dimensions should be around 150x150 and use jpg as the file type.

You can also try this site...http://www.online-image-editor.com/
I have never used it but it may do exactly what you are looking for.

Finally you can verify the file size by right clicking and get info (control -click on a mac).

One easy way is just email the photo to yourself. It will usually ask if it is ok to make it smaller for the email and bingo you got a small copy.

Install Picasa free from Google.

Then export and it will ask you about sizes. 72 dpi is a standard web resolution but it gets pretty crappy looking if you blow it up. Play with sizes as needed for you application.....Avatar on your BB address 72 dpi is great, full sized pictures attached or embedded in a message need to be larger.

Have fun.

That is an excellent tip, Green Hornet.
I will implement a small help topic containing this.
Everybody, even a complete computer illiterate, should be able to use that.

If you should like a bit more flexibility and versatility (such as sharpen your pictures, using effects, crop to your liking, change brightness, etc....), download and install FREEWARE Irfanview http://download.cnet.com/IrfanView/3000 ... tag=button. An esay to use small program.
