Last fall I made a flight to 27W, Wenatchee State airport in the Cascade Mountains. Its about a 50 minute flight from my home airport, but a world away from the Victorian Seaport Town I live in (Port Townsend, Washington). There aren't many places where snow capped mountain come right down to the sea, and I just happen to live in one of them. It was a magical flight, and now I can't wait for Washington State's mountain airports to open again after a long, cold and snowy winter.
