A 3 plane fleet from Port Townsend made it up to Roche Harbor on San Juan Island for lunch on the last good day of October. There is a fish and chips place on the pier with great chowder, fish and burgers. The flight up was spectacular as usual.

Here's one buddy's Cherokee 140 as seen from my Maule over the Salish Sea.

Here's X-wind to Runway 27:

and here we are parked on the grass. One of the other pilots remarked that the newest plane in this line-up was the tube and rag Maule!

And here's the view from the dockside restaurant back towards the Marina:

It's pretty amazing to have wonders like this just 20 minutes from home base!

Thanks for those "warm" pictures, sure cheered the place up on this overcast November day.

Man I LOVE FH and the SJIs.

Thanks for sharing the pics.

I've not been out there in a while. Some excellent bike riding out there. I just have to be very cautious about the weather, I'm a VFR puke. :D
