Triple tree Solar Eclipse 2017

Post by CaseyM »

Flew to the grass strip mecca of the south east today, Triple tree aerodrome. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 5-6 hundred aircraft today for the eclipse 2017. Took my MX7-180C and an M7-235, decathlon and warrior. Great times. Highly recommend SC00 if you can make it for one of the events there.

Here are pictures I took during the Eclipse at SC00. Never been to an airport like that before. Don't know how to attach the images.

I didn't see this coming but I actually made it in AOPA magazine article from the solar eclipse. Never thought I'd get past the cutting room floor

For some reason I cannot see Casey's images in Photobucket. All I see is the Photobucket warning that these images cannot be shared on a third party site.

I know PB is now charging outrageous amounts to be able to post on BB's such as this one.

I switched to www.imgur.com and find it pretty useful here is a post from there Sunrise coming from the West:

Thank you TomD, I've seen the PB "error" and wasn't sure what alternative site folks were using.

The photo must've been auto-populated from the APOA link. AOPA did an article called "lights out at Triple Tree" about the solar eclipse and used a picture of my airplane and quoted some of my gang in the article. I thought it was pretty cool. not sure if you can see the link or not so here it is deconstructed

Casey;

I had the same issue w/ HUGE images being posted out of Imgur.

If you hover your cursor over your name after you sign in, you will see an option of "images", click that and gallery of your images will come up. Click on the image you want to post and at the bottom you will see size options. Choose "huge thumbnail" and then click copy by the BB code option and past that directly into your post.

or "Large Thumbnail"

I had to edit my post a few times before I figured the huge thumbnail out to be the best. pretty easy once I "got it"
Casey, that picture works.

Jeremy, something tells me you're more computer saavy than you're letting on about. I'll be glad to list my experience with it.

Thanks to the solid advice from TomD, I now use www.imgur.com.

Go to IMGUR and start an account. Once you get your username and password, Login and on the home screen you should see this
