Sorry the rest of the gang couldn't make it. We delayed launching until just after noon so as to meet up with CaptnKirk when he and his lady arrived. It was a great time. Had to wait a little to be seated but sit around eating and talking for a couple hours. Food was great and company was better. Looked like about 15 to 20 airplane at the time with arrivals and departures regularly. Temp was just right for one of the outside picnic type tables.

We totally understand as some have to make a decision early enough to drive to the airport, drag the bird out, and then fly over while CaptnKirk and I just have to walk out the back door, look up, and say "yep, lets go".

Already looking forward to the next time. Perhaps the weather will cooperate better then.

Yes sir a great time one of my buddy's showed up and took this picture. He was the fellow I took flying in my Maule when he was looking for a plane. He ended up buying a Husky. Pretty plane but I love to kid him about making two trips to carry the same number of people and I have to slow down for him to keep up. ;-)

It's possible I get in that morning. Need for the runway to dry out or put on some floats. We will have to keep an eye on the weather.

Possible. My son has the Maule on Sunday but I will pedal the Champ over if I can get out of here. Pouring buckets here again and a couple of inches of water amongst the grass on the ramp right now. Nasty thunderstorm.

Check ride? or still finishing up. Good Skill (luck has nothing to do with it) to him I know he will do well. Just got back from a Memphis ferry flight it is raining buckets out there. My place has water standing every where and the creek is as high as I have ever seen it. Walking in the yard leaves foot prints.
