AK Fall Flying

Post by BatMaule »

Following crbnunit's lead here and thought I'd post a few pictures of September's flying escapades. Good month of flying despite some soggy weather. No real story - just some random pics:

The new Maule AK fly-in location  on the East, East Fork of Friday Creek:

Same location, different day...crbnunit touchdown:

And three days ago up past Lake George...as crbnunit said...hanging with Ce#$na drivers. But...cool camping and incredible northern lights (no pics of those unfortunately):

You guys are making me feel like I'm missing out! I left the state right in the middle of all that wet stuff, on the 15th. Thought about trying to hook up with crbnunit before I left, but it didn't seem like the weather for going out and playing. I sort of crawled out of Anchorage and out to Northway that day...

Hey Andy! Next year for sure!!!

Great pics Paul. That Grasshopper Corner strip scares the snott out of me! Good job on that one. That thing is short and consequences of failure are high!
You have to make up your mind about growing up and becoming a pilot. You can't do both!

Yep, next year for sure. I did manage to get out to the toe of the Kahiltna and the toe of the Ruth before I left. Just scouting trips, but gave me ideas for hiking etc. next year.
