It would be great to meet some of you guys, maybe go flying,
I'll gladly buy gas and lunch or dinner! Or both.

Hi Dan,

I'm in Talkeetna. Feel free to give me a shout, or stop by work (Talkeetna Air Taxi) if you find yourself in the area. I can tell you about the best free places to park your motorhome in this area. I'd be happy to grab coffee or a meal if you catch me on a day off (Sunday and Monday) or if I happen to have time between work flights, which I often do, but not always. Flying in my Maule on a day off is also a possibility, but it would depend on weather, timing, and how I feel after working in the cockpit all week.

By the way, if you've never landed on a glacier, it's well worth paying for one of those flights. I wish I could take you in my plane, but I don't have skis on it.

And if you decide to head north to Fairbanks into all the smoke / fires, you're welcome to drop in up here anytime!! In any case, enjoy your travels!!!

Hey Dan, I thought that you were flying up to Alaska? Are you driving a motor home instead?

Hi Res,
My buddys backed out of flying with me. So was forced to take a burnner to Anchorage then motorhomming around for 2weeks with my wife. 😄
Were you still planning on Idaho?
Made contact with akflyr in Anchorage, and hope to fly with him this week 😀

yes, Idaho the last 9 days in August. We should meet up, I may be closer to you this time since I'm thinking about going up to the pan handle.
Have fun in AK.

Didn't exactly show up in Alaska in a motorhome but am enjoying a trip with the wife and another couple that we have talked about for about 40 years.

Was in Fairbanks for the day. Dropped by Northstar Aviation today to say hello to Jim. Was a pleasure to meet him in person. Thanks Jim for taking time to visit. Quite enjoyed the time.
