Copalis Beach

Post by Flyhound »

I don't think I'll ever get tired of this spot. I met another Maule pilot (TomD) at Copalis Beach today. It'll be a couple of days before I can wipe the smile off of my face.

RATS!

Great video.

I wanted to go with you all and planned on it but scrubbed because of fog in the morning.

I'm over 2 hours away and didn't want to make the run if the beach was fogged in.

PLEASE keep me in the loop for next time gentlemen.

Tammy and I instead went to McCall. :D

Density altitude was over 8,000'! Severe clear CAVU and light winds. Smooth ride back and forth at over 10,000'.

We had a picnic on the shore of Payette Lake and a nice walk on the nature trail and a fun swim and ride on rented paddle boards. Not a disaster we could not go to the beach but that is a priority for me soon.

Thanks so much for the excellent video.

Bill

Maules look so cute with little tires! Looks like a great trip!
You have to make up your mind about growing up and becoming a pilot. You can't do both!

I'm going to come down there and see you guys this summer. What lakes or airports are nearby?

Great pics Tom.

Thank you for inviting me. Hopefully next time. I really enjoy these adventures and hanging out with you guys.

I love the Northwest.

McCall was awesome also, but the runway was paved.
