Well after what seems like weeks of incredibly low ceilings and occasional freezing rain (which unfortunately brought down a 182 this week here) we were finally able to get up and go for a flight. The landscape is all snow covered, lakes are well frozen. Jim and I decided it was time to look at a lake landing. Here we are after he successfully set it down. Snow was quite shallow about 5 inches and well packed down. We landed on a well traveled snowmobile superhighway where it was completely packed.

About 7 miles south of KHYR on Lake La Courte Orielles is a great place to drop in and eat.
Anglers Haven has great food and is a very picturesque Leinenkugels Northwoods Lodge.
