3 Maules in SE Utah

Post by Rezrider »

So last spring we went to a great strip in Utah called Dirty Devil. When we got there the windsock was in tatters at the base of the pole.
As I was leaving, I thought to myself "I should get a new sock and come and put it up". A way to achieve good karma for having a nice place available to us.

I floated this idea past 2 new Maule converts to see if they wanted to tag along. They did! We went!

The weather was perfect, clear skies and not too much snow on the ground. This is dirty devil.

You can see the new sock flying just above the wing.

After putting up the sock and eating lunch, we walked the strip and filled holes and removed rocks.
Next stop was Angel point, a bit of snow on the ground but only an inch or so.

A great day out with friends.

Makes a fella proud to be a Maule owner, or just somebody that gives a shit.

Beautiful. What a great time to be in the desert!
You have to make up your mind about growing up and becoming a pilot. You can't do both!

Dang Rezrider, I need to get on your call list! It looks like you know how to lead a scout party as well as adjusting your karma by replacing the windsock. I flew all over Utah, on my way west but I didn't manage to land anywhere as interesting as this.

Get your ass down here and lets go! You flew right over this area on your cross country earlier this year.
In fact, you guys up in the PNW should park your planes down here in the winter instead of dehydrating them with lingerie bags!
Then just come down and 'visit' your planes a few times each winter.

Yip, that's Charlie's video. We made him an honorary Maule member just because he showed up
