Fallston to Fallston

Post by captnkirk »

Well the deed is complete I've moved the new plane home to day. I'll post some photos in a bit. A bit of irony the airport I moved it from was in Fallston, MD and the closest town to us is you guessed it---- Fallston , NC--- what are the odds of that. Approximately 360 nm took a bit over 3 hours due to some headwinds burned 40 gals and had a true airspeed of 123 to 129 kts at 21 square. Cruised down low till I was past the DC airspace then spent most of the time at 6500 till I had to duck under parts of the class B in CLT. The first 1/3 of the trip was rough wind was spilling over the hills until south of LDN vor. I tried to set up my gopro but the battery die some where on the trip up so just a few shots on landing taken by the heir to the mortgage. it was a pretty day though nice colors in the mountains could not get to my phone I had put it in a bag and it slid to the back seat floor. I didn't want to read that accident report pilot found in back seat of wrecked aircraft  Got to get a few things done more news at 11.

yes it looks good from about 20 feet. I've spent the day poking around the fabric seems good it was just a poor paint job like MM said maybe auto paint with some flex agent. It will do for now I won't feel bad getting it muddy. It flies well radios work and the engine is fresh. Can't really ask for much more.
