Nice! Cooling off out there yet?
You have to make up your mind about growing up and becoming a pilot. You can't do both!

Is there any restrictions on where you land in Texas? In Montana, unless it's Forest Service or National Park land, you're basically able to do what you want. Since it's a no liability state, even if you land on someone else's private property and wreck, the landowner can't be held responsible for it.

Also, it's in the Montana Code that landing on roads is allowed as long as the proper safety precautions have been taken.

Stinger: Texas is almost all private land, so a person is supposed to have permission. The places I posted are from friends ranches that let me play. Both have planes and helicopters and are always wanting someone to stop by.

JDW: I just use some of that No Flats stuff, it works. I'm supposed to miss all the cacti though, but as we know, everything has a sticker down here.

Crbunit: Nah, we got a couple more months.

My favorites were always that little bush that had thorns that hooked back toward the plant like a cat's claw. Razor sharp and would cut your cloths and rip you open as you walked or road by. My second favorite is letchugilla. I have a scar on my leg from one of those things and it just gives me nightmares thinking about falling on one!

Certain parts of Texas I miss. Others, not so much! LOL!
