Doc loves it, thanks for posting.

Your desert looks a lot like mine, except you have some very different animals than ours. :D

Well done video, looks like a good time. :P

Dawson Creek is not too far from us up here. Nice video!
You have to make up your mind about growing up and becoming a pilot. You can't do both!

I was supposed to go visit in Dawson Creek this year, should have been in time for the Elk rut, but had my knees replaced so no visit for me, maybe next year, going to put in a proper effort to get there next year

Lekker vid ou boet. Looks like typical dry highveld.
I need to start putting up more trip reports too, been a bit lazy about that.
Just got back from a flight to Telluride Colorado today, the leaves are still a great colour.

Chris,

Thanks for the video. If the guys here liked that they will be running to apply for visas after seeing the Drakensberg!

I have very fond memories of SA. I spent many years working to the north years back. SA was always our safe haven. Many times we limped in with broken bodies and aircraft and were always met with kindness and compassion.

One of my crewmembers spent 6 weeks in critical care in Pretoria after an accident. I spoke weekly with the night shift nurse via HF phone patch, they rallied around him and saved his life.

On a lighter note, 6 weeks leave in the Cape was one of the greatest periods in my life. Your country has a wealth of natural and cultural riches. Your barbeques can make a Texan blush!

Thanks Kirk, I am very glad you have fond memories of SA.
I am even more grateful that you could experience the warmth and hospitality of our people, and yes we certainly know how to through a barbecue
If you ever plan to come to SA let me know, we will have a great time with great beer and great african beef

Lakkker! :D

Hopefully, in a few years, we will be making a family trip that way. I'd loveto tour SA a bit and do a flying safari up to the Okavango Delta.

That sounds fantastic. We will send the woman with the airline and you and I will fly the Maule up, we take a couple of days and I will show you some cool spots along the way, specially the central kalahari park
