Finally came time to start heading east back towards TN. Departed Page, AZ and went as far as Albuquerque, NM (KAEG) landing at Double Eagle. By now the mid day thermals and winds were getting pretty bad, so early departure and be done by 11AM seemed the best plan.

Spotted more arches along the way than we could count. I can see why so many of you folks live out this way. It truly is an amazing land.
Heavy with fuel and gear, we struggled to keep a legal altitude over the rising terrain at Canyon De Chelley. We didn't make it there on the ground but got a peek at it from the air.
Had a great time spotting ruins and cliff dwellings along the way.
We relaxed for a day in Albuquerque, got some pool time and grazed our way across Old Town, where a festival was underway.
