After a refreshing evening in Hot Springs, we loaded up to visit family in Idabel, OK (4O4) and Cleburne, TX (KCPT). The folks at KCPT were great, giving us a courtesy car for the night, directions to the hotel and low fuel prices.
The next day, we flew from KCPT to KSSF, Stinson Field, San Antonio, TX. The recurring theme for this part of the trip was IMC. A southerly flow had brought low clouds and rain to the area. Not many photo ops enroute.

Had the pleasure of using the services of San Antonio Aviation at Stinson Field. Randy and his small staff were helpful and friendly. Top notch FBO!
On final for 14 at KSSF we spotted a beautiful old Mission. We hopped in the rental car and within 20 minutes of landing, we were touring the San Jose Mission, which is part of the Mission Trail.
3 days in San Antonio playing tourist despite low clouds and showers.
The Alamo, a fitting place to be on Memorial Day. My favorite time to be there is at last light. The cool quiet of the evening and fewer people give you time to reflect upon this place and the lives lost on that ground.
