Military's Finest!! $75 Million Save from about 50'

Post by aero101 »

Unbelievable save by military's finest... F35 lost fwd vector thruster, nose drops, then you see afterburner kick in, for an outside loop from about 50' on board an aircraft carrier. I'd still be checking my pants if the heart attack didn't finish me off first.... What a pwr / wt this aircraft must have!! Not really Maule related, but still awesome!!!

It'd be even cooler if it was real. It's a clip from a video game.

I'd be willing to bet it was an animation, I have to believe the blades on the helicopter would have been moving around with all that randomly scattered jet exhaust. They move around quite a bit just in a small breeze when parked.

As a Navy Helo pilot, that's correct. Our blades (when not tied down) flap about 10' up and down with any appreciable winds/jet-blast. The other give-away is there aren't any F-35's being deployed on any ships yet that I'm aware of. Nice graphics but not quite reality yet.. Great site by the way, just got myself into an MX-7-235 that I'll be flying up to Anchorage this summer to put on a set of Baumann 2720's....

Welcome to the site. Lots of great folks here with a vast amount of Maule knowledge.

Didn't mean my response to sound snarky; easy to convey the wrong tone when typing.

Usn99 welcome aboard I'm a new Maule owner myself (older model tho) I get more grins per mile in it than I have at work for a long time. Driving the airbus is like driving a bus and today was a Ralph Camden kind of day. We'll see you around.
