80 bucks a month in a shared municipal owned hanger, share with 11 others. Its an old army base quonset with good doors on each end. Sounds like a bargain.

I currently pay $175/mo for a single plane hangar with electric and water included at 9A9. The landlord wants $35K to sell it. I'd offer somewhat less since it's in mostly good shape but the metal roof is rusty and will need some replacement panels in a few years. Buying a hangar where you don't own the land below it is risky. The hangar owners here have to pay an annual lease to the airport commission. If the owner does something to get booted off the airport, they can only rent or sell the hangar or tear it down and they can't keep anything else in it. We've had it happen.

It's just about impossible to get a loan to buy a hangar unless you get a home equity loan on your primary residence. Been there, done that and don't want to do it again.
