Post by mburkhart »

I'm new to AZ and new to the Maule, Im hoping to purchase a Maule I've been watching for some time now. Im excited to get away for some fun weekend adventures and would like to get some time in one to make sure its what I'm hoping and dreaming about. is there anyone around the area with the capabilities to do some instruction? or recommendations close by? Im willing to commute!

I will be back in Tucson for winter come middle of September, but not too interested in traveling to Mesa.. If you're willing to head down Tucson way I could help or do some advanced maule instruction at that time? http://aerobatics.com/rental.htm or http://theverticalworks.com/ both certainly have the experience for Maule instruction in Phoenix area, and there is someone up there did some basic Maule stuff last winter, but not sure where he was out of?

Thank you for the information! I'll definitely look into the two links you provided. Like I said, I am willing to commute and if it takes driving to Tucson that's fine with me. Please keep in touch and I will see what I can accomplish before you arrive in sept. Thank you!

At this point you'd have to have your own Maule as I just sold my flying version last week. Currently building a hot rod Stinson, and do have my eye on an M7 project, but even if I buy it, wouldn't be flyable for awhile... In any case, maybe will get chance to meet down there as cold months approach here?
