Tuweep Airstrip Grand Canyon, Arizona

Post by DeltaRomeo »

Here is a link to a survey the Arizona Pilots Association is hosting to demonstrate support for reopening the Tuweep Grand Canyon Airstrip. I think many of us here would have a lot of interest in this a s destination so please take a moment to read the info and take the survey.

I did the survey so the next time Mrs. Va Maule wants to do the Grand Canyon
( we've done it twice and she wants to do it again) we'll have this opportunity.

Just took the survey. Hope you get the Recreational Aviation Foundation involved as well. I'm pretty sure ALL the members around the country will take the survey.

Done, I will likely fly there within the year if it happens.

Survey done, needles to say, I'll plan to go if it's opened.

Mark Spencer of the AZ Pilots Assoc IS the RAF liaison and is all over this. It would be really interesting to see our efforts mustered and see a change on an issue like this. :D

I returned the survey also. I'm planning a trip to SE Utah late this spring. Probably won't get far west enough to use Turoweep this time even if it was opened. I had to scuttle a trip back in 06 that included Turoweep, with the assumption at that time that it was open based on Galen's book. I'll put it back on a list for another trip.
