We are big time now
Well I was just updating my garmin and checking out the new map and see that I've been charted. Gary (gbarrier) has also. The identifier for my place is NR42 Laughing Crow and Gary is 9NR4 Wolf pit. This is as exciting as getting the new phone books I'm sure. Any way on the charlotte chart just in side the class b on the 310 radial off CLT. Gary is about the 70 degree just outside and south of Mt Pleasant

No response unless you rattle their cage. If you know which office handles your area find the person there and start a dialogue. I started the process 20 years ago and the last piece of paperwork got lost and nothing ever happened. Finally followed up and found out I had to start all over again. It was Atlanta back then and Memphis this time.
Haven't seen a new sectional. Are we on there yet?

I had help from the state dept. of transportation. They had a fellow there that helped with the paper work contacted the feds as needed. Gary I haven't picked up a new sectional yet I think they get printed this week, but with us on the electronic stuff I think it should be there.

I called the Ft. Worth ADO today and was pretty much informed that if I sent in a paper application it would never be processed. The person on the phone was very helpful and directed me to the online application process at oeaaa.faa.gov, so I went through the process there and I am back in the running for an identifier code. Will update you guys on what happens next
I can't remember if I fired six shots, or only five.....

Well CaptnKirk, we almost made it.
I pulled up the sectional on ForeFlight the other day and after zooming in there we were as bright as day. With that in mind (you know how we all like to see ourselves in print) I ordered up a new Charlotte Sectional and Charlotte
Terminal Area chart. Well, we made the terminal area chart but not the sectional. Guess we wait till January and see what happens there.
It is interesting that if one is looking at ForeFlight and zoom out a little both of our airports go away but the neighbors stay. Don't know if that is because it paints the terminal chart when you zoom in or what. Patience, a virtue that I should probably work on.

Hey hey, I'm making progress! I called my contact at the ADO and asked why nothing was happening and was told they lost all my stuff. The next day I got a call saying they found it and they apologized and would put it on top of the list. The way the web portal is set up my application has moved from "accepted by the FAA" to "work in progress". They also accepted the name, Richmond Plantation. So perhaps only a few more years and I will be good to go!!

Don't know about the left coast but here in my neck of the woods we are zoned ag so anything that can be related to ag is allowed. So I just throw out some fertilizer and now I'm an aerial applicator. ps no one asked so I didn't offer any info

Rob, I kind of think it depends on where you are as to whether anyone cares or not, especially when it comes to ranch or farm land.
Congrats pilot. You just gotta keep rattling their cage. My approach to the FAA has always been, whether 135 or 91, that someone has to be on the offensive and someone has to be on the defensive so I keep bugging them for something. Rather have them working for me than them looking at me. I need to call Monday morning and see where they are on a field approval for me. If you don't, they don't.
