Cecilville, CA - A new airport is born!

If they make the field a bit safer we may have a new fly-in destination!

I should note that this is not really an airport. It is just a field and the people that live there are welcoming but they would need to know you plan to stop by because there may be hazards present. As I understand they are going to do some work to make the field safer for landing and takeoff - mainly by filling in the rock garden that is right before my touchdown point. I will suggest a few other things to them as well that are simple and cheap to do. Here is some info:

Cecilville International
Elev: 2300 ft
Length: ~800 ft of decent surface in the middle
Contact Name: Monkey
Phone: 530 462 4685 (saloon)

There will be a flyin before too long I'm sure.
