My wife and I flew there last fall. There is a GREAT brew pub about 2 blocks south of the Wright Flyer sculpture. We had a fabulous lunch there albeit with their locally made ginger ale, not their beer. Did you stick around for a meal or just land and take off after seeing the monument & museum?

We had a friend pick us up and we had lunch at a restaurant called omie's or something like that! Very touristy, but memorial was worth it! Winds are squirrelly, rec land halF way down where trees are more even and don't create a rotor effect, plus always a crosswind from ocean...and watch out for the heavy airplane traffic on the beach and circling the memorial.
