Coastal Maine is beautiful and that is where I am right now.

Driving from Boston, Boothbay Harbor is about 4 hours and there is plenty to do and see. They have boat trips to see whales or puffins, or you can take a few hour sail on a schooner.

Camden Maine is up the coast another hour which is also beautiful on Penobcsot Bay.

If you want to go flying, stop by the Owls Head Transportation Museum which is close to Camden.

Planning the exact same trip in September. I'm going to wait until all the curtain climbers are back in school. :D
