Pasayten Airstrip

Post by Andy Young »

Any of you guys in the Pacific Northwest know anything about Pasayten Airstrip? Is it usable? I happened to come across mention of it in a Backpacker article. Seemed to indicate that it was abandoned, and not used anymore. It's in northern Washington, right by the border, east of Ross Lake.

There's an old discussion about it on BCP - http://www.backcountrypilot.org/forum/p ... strip-6170
Nice photo from 2009...looks like it could be good enough to land on in an emergency, fuel starvation, that sort of thing. http://mikefazz.com/MainBlog/?attachment_id=89
