It was the biggest upset in Rugby World Cup history.

Japan, which by all accounts, is a second tier Rugby nation beat the number three team in the world. It would be like Ohio State Univ. beating the New England Patriots.

If you have the chance, tune in to the Rugby World Cup to see an amazing sport.

How the heck did that happen?
For one thing the Japanese put on a tackling clinic. They made almost twice as many tackles as the Boks and almost all of them were between the knees and ankles. As my coach told me "Everyone is the same size at the ankles."

It was pretty amazing that the Boks could not get going or use their superior weight and strength to better advantage.

Everyone was totally stunned.

The Bok tour started wrong in SA, there is a group of left wingers who tried to get the government to stop the boks going to the RWC because there weren't enough players of color in the team, etc etc.

England/Wales game was closely fought. Needed to be up at 0300 for that one. Uruguay/Australia wasn't bad when you consider the Uruguay team are not professional players.

There seem to be a strong showing from the weaker teams in this cup. Can only be good for rugby

I think you must have fielded your 'B' team for the Japan game. Never underestimate your opponent. ;)
