MX180 accident

NTSB report shows Maule MX-7-180A, tail number N897DC.

Looks like N897DC has had a few low hour pilots treat her poorly. Appears the airplane was on maybe 8.50 tires. Glad the pilot walked away ok and hope they are back in the air flying again. Maybe some more off airport trading is in order.

When I was first seriously looking at buying a Maule, N897DC was one that I tried to make an offer on but was a day too late.
If I remember correctly it used to be a Sheriff's department airplane in Houston. Or was Sheriff's on the east coast and then went to Houston later.
It looked nicely equipped though.
