M7 back seat removal?

Post by 57NC »

This is probably a silly question ... new M7 owner here ... it's not immediately obvious to me how to remove the rear seats. Before I start just turning wrenches on every bolt I see, can someone tell me the "easy" way to do this?

If it's the standard rear seat, remove the two bolts on the right side that hold the Y-shaped top tube to the headliner. Then pull the tube down and slide it out of the seat pocket. Flip the rear side of the bottom seat up and forward to remove it from the front tube. Remove the front tube by pressing the button on the tube and sliding it into the side tube then pivot the front tube up and pull it out of the airplane. Pull the seatbelts down through the slits in the fabric seat bottom and remove the fabric seat back and bottom.

If you have the quick release mod, just pull the two hitch pins to remove the top tube. The rest is similar.
