Thanks for the Ride Andrew!!

Post by TomD »

Would like to give Andrew Craig a belated "thank you" for the flight around the Dunedin area while Susan and I were in New Zealand last month.

Wup's old MX7-180 is a beauty and looks to be the perfect aircraft for New Zealand flying. Short field capable with good fuel economy.

It is very unfortunate that Maule does not have a sales presence in New Zealand. The South Pacific dealer is in Australia and as far as I can tell does nothing in NZ. Due to the CAA strict interpretation of Service Bulletins, Maule has a distinct maintenance cost savings over, say Cessna but the Maule story is tough to get out without local representation.

Hopefully this will be rectified in the near future.

Anyhow, thanks for going out of your way to show us the area from the air.

Cheers,

Tom

Indeed a nice bird!

Was on the 7th row 10 meter line for Highlanders vs. Stormers. Those guys are not only big but FAST! Hard to believe they were playing the same game I played years back.

FYI ESPN+ is broadcasting Super Rugby.

Andy;

You need a new avatar with your new bird.
