New Maule owner
Hi guys. I live in a place that is about 60 miles from town, with the first 20 miles being dirt. Road conditions are such that we sometimes let many weeks go between trips to town. On one trip the wife said "You ought to get another airplane so we wouldn't have to drive this road." Problem is that we are at 7600 feet and I only have room for about 2000 feet of runway. I started looking at various aircraft and put up a 50x40 Mueller hangar. I started moving the thousands of yards of dirt and rocks for the runway. Last month N56294 came up for sale. Since it is one of only 7 M5-210tc models in the country, I had to buy it. With the runway not completed it will have to stay in a rented hangar at Double Eagle for now. Now the adventure begins.

2500 Gross, 1400 empty.
As I hurtled through space, one thought kept crossing my mind - every part of this rocket was supplied by the lowest bidder .

Our place is in the Zuni's and a strip is in the plans. Been flying to GUP and getting our vehicle out of storage to get the last mile. 2000' at 7600 is very doable in a turbo. Our situation may find us flying in and out at dusk or early morning before the winds pick up. Still kicking around the orientation as I get more familiar with the wind patterns up there. Congrats on finding a rare bird with a turbo! You'll be able to climb over the turbulence during summer flights in NM!
