Minnesota Maule

Post by kamper »

Anyone in the Minneapolis, MN area that would be willing to take me up in a MX-7? I would be happy to compensate you for your time and fuel. I work too much to be a part of the pilot community up here and unfortunately don't know too many people with planes.

I'm currently in the process of narrowing down my needs vs. wants in my search and hope to own a tailwheel within the next 2-4 months. I've been privileged to get some time in the Cessna 180 and have came close to pulling the trigger but feel i need to give the Maule a chance. I understand that they are two different planes but my limited use would not be pushing either to their limits.

My price range is $70k-$80k

Uses
Short family trips (cabin & in-laws) <300NM 2 kids under 10, 1 hot wife
Paved runway & grass strip
Fair weather flying and sightseeing
Skis in the winter

You should have left out the "hot wife' part.

Are you looking for a trade?

Nice... Seems to me these days if you're "hot" you have to get a cirrus, i'd be afraid to get that bird dirty and don't think you can put the SR-22 floats!

I don't have a plane to trade or I'd offer it up... doing the club thing at the moment.

Well if you make it to the Seaplane Safety seminar in May at Craguns, I will give you a ride in my M-7, however I won't have those sissy little tires on, only two 15 foot canoes!
Have plane, will fish
