Is insurance a lot cheaper for Maule Training Gear vs tailwheel? Is the handling Cessna like or still somewhat Maule Like like the tailwheel airplanes?

In the states...yes it is considerably cheaper...in Canada...couldn't tell ya.
The training gear Maule handles like a Piper Colt or Tri- Pacer...go figure.
